Asmidar is a Malaysian traditional music singer. Her career began with a recording at the age of 12. She has won several prestigious awards, including first place in the youth contest "Bintang Asli" in 2006, three gold medals in the World Performing Arts Contest in LA, and the first champion of the national audition program "Vokal" in 2011. Now that she has steadfastly maintained her status as a singer, she continues to be at the forefront as a performer as well as a nurturer of the younger generations of traditional and contemporary music in Malay and English.

マレーシアの伝統音楽シンガー。12歳でレコーディングを経験しキャリアをスタートすると、2006年のユースコンテスト「Bintang Asli」での優勝を皮切りに、LAにて開催されたパフォーミングアートの世界大会で金メダルを3個獲得、2011年には国民的オーディション番組「Vokal（ボーカル）」で初代チャンピオンの座につくなどその輝かしい受賞歴は多岐にわたる。シンガーとしての地位を不動のものとした現在は、マレー語と英語による伝統音楽と現代音楽の後進育成の傍ら、パフォーマーとしても第一線で活躍し続けている。
